Site Reliability Engineer - Core @Blockchain

Overview

Blockchain is a global crypto company that connects the world to the future of finance. The company is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Core team, focusing on encouraging infrastructure best practices for securely scaling its distributed financial platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Play a critical role in evolving infrastructure to address reliability, latency, bandwidth, and security issues.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting across the platform.
• Coordinate work across different areas of the company for efficient execution.
• Centralize common streams of work to reduce duplication across teams.
• Develop tooling to replace manual, repetitive tasks in a scalable manner.
• Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment along with a high-caliber team.

Requirements

• Experience with containerization and service orchestration, with knowledge of Hashicorp Nomad, Consul, and Vault as a plus.
• Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (Golang, Python, Bash preferred).
• Familiarity with Linux, including resource allocation and network internals.
• Experience with cloud solutions (GCP or AWS).
• Demonstrable experience with modern monitoring tools (Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana, Telegraf).
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools; complex Terraform deployments are a plus.
• Background with configuration management tools; experience with Saltstack is a plus.
• Familiarity with GitOps and CI practices, preferably with Github Actions.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka and database management.
• Experience working in Data Centers is a plus.
• Knowledge of routing and switching protocols is a plus.

Location
