    Overview

    Blockchain is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Core team, focusing on infrastructure best practices to securely scale a distributed financial platform utilized by millions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Play a critical role in evolving infrastructure to address reliability, latency, bandwidth, and security challenges.
    • Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting throughout the platform.
    • Coordinate work across different areas of the company for efficient execution.
    • Centralize common streams of work currently duplicated across developer teams.
    • Develop tooling to automate manual, repetitive tasks.
    • Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a high-caliber team.

    Requirements

    • Experience with containerization and service orchestration; familiarity with Hashicorp Nomad, Consul, and Vault is a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of at least one programming language; experience with Golang, Python, and Bash is a plus.
    • Understanding of Linux resource allocation, networking, and internals.
    • Experience with cloud solutions (GCP or AWS).
    • Proficiency in modern monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana, and Telegraf.
    • Experience with infrastructure as code tools, particularly complex Terraform deployments is a plus.
    • Solid background with configuration management tools; Saltstack experience is a plus.
    • Knowledge of GitOps and CI processes, preferably with GitHub Actions.
    • Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka and with database management.
    • Experience working in Data Centers and knowledge of routing and switching protocols is a plus.
