Affirm is seeking a Software Engineer I for the Post-Purchase International team, which is pivotal in the company's global expansion efforts. This role involves building foundational platforms and customer experiences for managing purchases in international markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to team projects and goals with support from team members.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, maintaining visibility and dialogue concerning risks and trade-offs.
• Balance speed and quality to meet business goals while ensuring system reliability.
• Engage in community-building activities within the team.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as required.

Requirements

• Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages such as Python or Kotlin.
• Experience shipping web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Ability to convert simple problems into solutions that interact with multiple software components, writing clear and extensible code.
• Proficiency in navigating large code bases and providing feedback through code reviews.
• Demonstrated ownership of personal growth by seeking feedback.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
