Software Engineer II, Product @Brex

Overview

Brex is an intelligent finance platform enabling companies to spend smarter and move faster in over 200 markets. The Software Engineer II role involves building customer-facing products that drive business impact and contribute to Brex's technical vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build strong, resilient, and robust APIs, libraries, and tools for Brex engineers and operations.
• Take responsibility for functionality and scalability features from inception to deployment.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, and operating in production.
• Uphold high engineering standards and maintain consistency in codebases, infrastructure, and processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience creating libraries and tools for engineers and operations.
• Experience in building and designing scalable backend systems.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with software engineering development cycles.
• Experience in backend programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Python.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• English proficiency/fluency, both written and spoken.
