Overview

The role of Solutions Architect involves leading the technical strategy for customers in Communications, Media, Entertainment, and Games at Databricks. The Solutions Architect will own architecture discussions, drive platform adoption, and serve as a trusted advisor to customers’ technical leads.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical strategy for accounts, from initial discovery through production deployment.
• Lead complex architecture discussions, designing scalable solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects and engineering leads.
• Drive technical wins in competitive scenarios through custom-built solutions.
• Declare an emerging technical specialization, becoming a go-to resource for your team.
• Orchestrate cross-functional resources to deliver solutions for complex customer needs.
• Influence product direction by providing structured feedback on customer requirements.

Requirements

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior technical role.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture.
• Proficient with the Databricks Platform with a developing technical specialization.
• Experience leading architecture discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Experience with public cloud production deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• A track record of driving platform adoption and consumption growth.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
