Overview

As a Solutions Architect at Databricks, you will lead the technical strategy for customers in communications, media, entertainment, and gaming. This role involves owning architecture discussions, driving platform adoption, and serving as a trusted advisor to technical leads and architects.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical strategy for accounts, from initial discovery through production deployment and consumption growth.
• Lead complex architecture discussions, designing scalable, production-grade solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects and engineering leads.
• Drive technical wins by demonstrating Databricks’ differentiation through custom-built solutions.
• Develop a technical specialization and become a go-to resource within the team.
• Orchestrate cross-functional resources to deliver comprehensive solutions for complex needs.
• Provide structured feedback on customer requirements and product direction.

Requirements

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior technical role.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with skills in live coding and debugging.
• Expertise in distributed data systems architecture, including scalable pipelines and cloud-native platforms.
• Proficiency on the Databricks Platform (or ability to achieve proficiency quickly) and specialization in areas like ML/AI.
• Experience with public cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
