Solutions Architect - Digital Native Business, Named Accounts @Databricks

Overview

The role of Solutions Architect on the Digital Natives team at Databricks involves shaping the future of the big data landscape by working with leading data engineering and data science teams. The position requires collaboration with customers, product teams, and the customer-facing team to develop architectures and solutions using Databricks' platform and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership and help customers understand solutions to their business problems.
• Consult on Big Data architectures and implement proof of concepts for strategic projects, including data engineering, data science, machine learning, and SQL analysis workflows.
• Validate integrations with cloud services, home-grown tools, and third-party applications.
• Collaborate with other Solutions Architects to support each other and users.
• Promote and recruit contributors for Databricks open-source projects across the developer community.

Requirements

• 5+ years in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or a similar pre-sales/consulting role.
• Experience in building distributed data systems.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Expertise in either Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) or Data Science and Machine Learning technologies (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, Tensorflow).
• Ability to travel to customers in your region.
