The Infrastructure & Platform Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) at Databricks serves as a trusted technical advisor, guiding enterprise customers through the architecture, administration, and security of their Databricks deployments on Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide strategic customers through the lifecycle of Databricks on Azure, from architectural design to production deployment.
• Architect secure, scalable deployments satisfying complex Azure networking and security compliance standards.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud networking.
• Drive technical wins by demonstrating Databricks’ differentiation through custom-built solutions.
• Orchestrate cross-functional resources to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Influence product direction by providing feedback on customer requirements.

Requirements

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
• Advanced expertise in Azure security controls, networking, platform administration, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture and proficiency in Databricks Platform.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead architecture discussions.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.
