Sr. AI Engineer - FDE (Forward Deployed Engineer) - U.S. Federal Sector @Databricks

Overview

The role involves being a part of the AI Forward Deployed Engineering (AI FDE) team at Databricks, which is focused on delivering professional services engagements to develop and implement AI applications for customers. This position can be remote but requires U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a government secret clearance due to federal contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop cutting-edge GenAI solutions using advanced techniques to meet customer needs.
• Own production rollouts of consumer and internally facing GenAI applications.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers across various domains.
• Present at conferences and be recognized as a thought leader.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence product priorities and roadmap.

Requirements

• Experience in building GenAI applications, such as RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, and fine-tuning, with tools like HuggingFace, LangChain, and DSPy.
• Expertise in deploying production-grade GenAI applications, including evaluations and optimizations.
• Hands-on industry data science experience with tools like pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch.
• Experience with machine learning deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Graduate degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to communicate and teach technical concepts to various audiences.
• Passion for collaboration and driving business value through AI.
• [Preferred] Experience using the Databricks Intelligence Platform and Apache Spark™.

Location
