Sr. Engineering Manager - Pendo for Agents @Pendo

Overview

The Pendo for Agents team builds Pendo's AI and agent product area, which involves significant architectural development. As a Senior Manager in Engineering, you will oversee the technical direction, ensuring quality delivery and managing the talent pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of approximately four engineers, supporting onboarding and professional development.
• Own the technical direction and architecture decisions for the Pendo for Agents product.
• Guide prioritization, planning, and execution, maintaining a healthy delivery cadence.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to deliver features using Agile practices.
• Engage in technical problem-solving while coaching and growing the team.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance engineering operations, integrating them into standard workflows.
• Manage headcount planning and partner with recruiting for talent acquisition.
• Foster a team culture that encourages ownership and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.
• Hands-on architecture experience with LLM or agent systems.
• Experience in early-stage product areas with evolving architecture.
• Proven ability to manage delivery commitments and sprint planning.
• Strong technical foundation in front-end or back-end development (e.g., React, Go, Python).
• Experience collaborating across Engineering, Product, and Design teams.
• Experience in hiring technical roles and managing interview processes.

Location
