Sr Forward Deployed Engineer @Databricks

Overview

The Senior Forward Deployed Engineer at Databricks will work with customers to develop and implement solutions for their data and AI challenges using the Databricks platform. The role demands a combination of engineering expertise and customer engagement, focusing on delivering impactful systems and guiding customers in adopting Databricks technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade system deliveries, including the design and building of architectures and applications.
• Guide strategic customers through the implementation of big data projects.
• Advise customers on architecture and design, facilitating successful project implementation and adoption.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and align with Databricks best practices.
• Collaborate with technical teams and provide feedback for product improvement.
• Engage deeply with customer stakeholders to understand their challenges and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to reusable assets and best practices that enhance product impact.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficiency in coding with Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with at least one major Cloud ecosystem (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with distributed computing, particularly Apache Spark™.
• Knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience in technical project delivery with strong documentation skills.
• Effective communication skills for working with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to customers approximately 20% of the time.
• Databricks Certification is preferred.
