Staff Forward Deployed Engineer @Databricks

Overview

The Staff Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Databricks will partner with customers to address their big data challenges using the Databricks Platform. This role involves delivering tailored solutions in data engineering and data science across various cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate on impactful customer big data projects, including creating reference architectures and developing production-ready tools.
• Advise customers on big data initiatives, including migrations and design, build, and deployment of AI applications.
• Provide architecture and design expertise to ensure successful adoption of Databricks solutions.
• Partner with Engineering and Customer Support to resolve issues and improve products.
• Manage multiple diverse projects while ensuring quality standards and building customer trust.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience with Big Data Technologies (e.g., Apache Spark™, Kafka, Data Lakes) in a customer-facing role.
• 6+ years of experience in Big Data Architectures.
• 2+ years of experience with AI-based implementations.
• Strong experience in the Databricks ecosystem.
• Proficiency in Python or Scala.
• Experience across Cloud Platforms (GCP / AWS / Azure).
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
