    Overview

    The Staff Product Manager, Developer Experience role at Fivetran involves shaping the end-to-end developer workflow in dbt Cloud. This position is focused on enhancing the user experience for data practitioners worldwide by integrating modern developer tooling with AI capabilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own the developer experience roadmap across Studio IDE, Developer Agent, Cloud CLI, and the VS Code Extension.
    • Collaborate with the Fusion team to align capabilities and enhance developer-facing UX.
    • Lead AI-native product development for Developer Agent, including agentic workflows and natural language interactions.
    • Drive IDE and tooling strategy, informed by trends in modern development environments.
    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, and GTM teams.
    • Build feedback loops with the dbt community to improve developer tools.
    • Conduct market and user research to understand the competitive landscape.
    • Align developer experience investments with broader company goals.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of product management experience, particularly with developer tools and technical platforms.
    • Experience managing IDE or developer environment products.
    • Engagement with AI-powered development tools.
    • Strong technical foundations to engage with engineering partners.
    • Experience in user research and product prioritization.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work asynchronously in a distributed team.

    Location
