Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the product security roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on risk, business impact, and engineering maturity.
• Establish and evolve security posture across the engineering organization, setting scalable standards.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Infrastructure, and Platform teams to implement secure design principles throughout the development process.
• Own and review security-critical code related to authentication and access control.
• Architect secure-by-default libraries and tools for developers.
• Drive incident response strategies during security-related events, coordinating cross-functional efforts.
• Mentor engineers to elevate security knowledge across teams through reviews and guidance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product or application security, offensive security, or security-focused software engineering.
• Proven track record of identifying and resolving software vulnerabilities.
• Experience leading cross-functional security initiatives and influencing teams without direct authority.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and developing security talent.
• Strong programming skills with experience in writing high-quality production software.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in translating security risks for non-security stakeholders.

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $220,000 to $330,000 depending on location.
