Overview

Fivetran is seeking a Staff R&D Software Engineer to join the Fivetran AI team. The role involves building the open data infrastructure that supports AI agents, requiring expertise in both backend and frontend development, as well as research into emerging AI techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and prototype emerging techniques in AI and retrieval.
• Define technical direction across multiple teams.
• Build and maintain back-end and front-end systems for Fivetran AI.
• Drive the AISQL capability and ensure production reliability.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the hiring process.

Requirements

• 8+ years of programming experience in Python and/or Java.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data warehouses.
• Experience in full-stack development.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, startup-like environment.
• Proven track record of mentoring and influencing technical decisions.
