Overview

Affirm is reinventing credit cards by working directly with card issuers to create innovative solutions for everyday and large purchases. This role involves leading engineering efforts for the EU teams, managing architecture and collaboration across various systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for the team with a focus on critical, business-impacting projects.
• Lead software engineering efforts for all cards in the EU.
• Collaborate across teams in the product development lifecycle to ensure technical sustainability.
• Define and advocate for technical solutions and operational processes.
• Oversee team operations and availability, ensuring effective monitoring and alerting systems.
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership through code and design standards.
• Guide team members in their professional development and provide feedback.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Proficient in backend systems using Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Experience in frontend application development.
• Capability of delivering major features and defining execution plans.
• Strong ability to manage feedback and communicate effectively across global teams.
