Overview

Juniper Square is a leading firm aiming to unlock the potential of private markets through technology and data-driven solutions. The company is currently seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Data to join a new team focused on building an intelligent data platform for private markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data normalization, schema mapping, validation, enrichment, and distribution pipelines for a new intelligent data warehouse.
• Write production code as a hands-on engineer and take technical ownership from architecture through deployment.
• Collaborate with a small team to define technical architecture for an AI-native data warehouse.
• Build an evaluation framework for AI-generated outputs in financial data contexts.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools and contribute to evolving practices around AI-accelerated software development lifecycle.
• Set coding standards, review practices, and document architecture to aid team growth.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with significant impact at the Staff level.
• A portfolio of shipped production systems, showcasing personal technical contributions.
• Extensive hands-on experience in data pipeline or data warehouse engineering.
• Production experience with large language models (LLMs) and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Experience with AWS data infrastructure; Redshift experience is a plus.
• Strong written communication skills for translating technical design into documentation.
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated code critically.
