The Developer Experience team is responsible for creating backend systems and capabilities that enhance how developers understand, secure, and deliver software.

Key Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for major backend and developer experience initiatives.
• Turn ambiguous product or platform problems into clear plans and measurable outcomes.
• Design, build, and operate distributed services, event pipelines, and APIs with a focus on security and reliability.
• Lead cross-team delivery and address technical and organizational blockers.
• Make decisions regarding the evolution or replacement of existing components.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Security, and engineering teams to align technical investments with business outcomes.
• Enhance observability, incident readiness, and service ownership.
• Mentor senior engineers and promote reusable patterns within the team.
• Remain hands-on with implementation and debugging.
• Communicate decisions and trade-offs in a remote environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership in production systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in designing, building, and operating production backend systems.
• Strong programming skills in at least one production language.
• Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Track record of leading complex initiatives across teams.
• Ability to influence decisions and improve engineering effectiveness.
• Comfort with AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills for a remote setting.
