Staff Software Engineer - Infrastructure @Fivetran

Overview

The role is for a Staff Infrastructure Engineer at Fivetran, focused on building a reliable platform for the dbt platform across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The company aims to simplify access to data, making it reliable for organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and support infrastructure systems across tenancy models and public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strengthen and scale infrastructure while expanding multi-cloud capabilities.
• Create a great developer experience in collaboration with teams in Architecture, Release Engineering, Product Engineering, and Security.
• Leverage tools and languages such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, Bash, Helm, ArgoCD, Go, and DataDog.
• Design and build automation to eliminate manual toil and optimize infrastructure operations.
• Participate in on-call rotation and help upgrade tooling.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with cloud providers, tools, and languages, particularly AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, and Bash.
• Experience with declarative Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Familiarity with asynchronous work as part of a fully-remote, distributed team.
• Prior experience in a multi-cloud environment and Kubernetes administration.
