Overview

The role involves joining Fivetran's Product Documentation team as a Staff Technical Writer, focusing on the creation of effective documentation to support data practitioners using dbt.

Key Responsibilities

• Create effective documentation plans for new feature writing projects.
• Manage and mentor less-senior writers on documentation projects.
• Troubleshoot ongoing documentation issues and analyze data for solution evaluation.
• Provide constructive feedback during peer reviews of documents.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in writing technical documentation, preferably for developer tools.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to give and receive editorial and technical feedback compassionately.
• Clear and concise communication skills, especially in asynchronous settings.
• Preferred: Experience with dbt or data, and previous experience in a formal documentation team.
