Overview

The Team Leader will oversee the HealthSkills4Work Nigeria Project, ensuring alignment with national policies and operational management in Abuja.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership, aligning activities with national strategies and ensuring timely delivery of outputs.
• Supervise budgets, finance, procurement, and donor compliance.
• Oversee internal steering, monitoring, and project missions.
• Serve as primary liaison with donors, national authorities, private sector, and partners.
• Represent the project in high-level meetings and sectoral coordination platforms.
• Provide guidance on pharmaceutical regulation and workforce development.
• Promote integration of project results into long-term strategies.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and support recruitment and onboarding.
• Establish M&E systems and ensure integration of gender and quality considerations.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in a relevant field.
• Minimum 8 years in skills development or workforce development.
• At least 5 years managing complex international development projects.
• Experience with apprenticeship/work-based learning systems.
• Experience in fragile/complex contexts is desirable.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
• Excellent written and oral English; French is a plus.
