Overview
The Team Leader will oversee the HealthSkills4Work Nigeria Project, ensuring alignment with national policies and operational management in Abuja.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project leadership, aligning activities with national strategies and ensuring timely delivery of outputs.
- Supervise budgets, finance, procurement, and donor compliance.
- Oversee internal steering, monitoring, and project missions.
- Serve as primary liaison with donors, national authorities, private sector, and partners.
- Represent the project in high-level meetings and sectoral coordination platforms.
- Provide guidance on pharmaceutical regulation and workforce development.
- Promote integration of project results into long-term strategies.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and support recruitment and onboarding.
- Establish M&E systems and ensure integration of gender and quality considerations.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in a relevant field.
- Minimum 8 years in skills development or workforce development.
- At least 5 years managing complex international development projects.
- Experience with apprenticeship/work-based learning systems.
- Experience in fragile/complex contexts is desirable.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
- Excellent written and oral English; French is a plus.
