Tech Lead, Agent Framework - Observability @Elastic

Overview

Elastic is looking for a Tech Lead for the Agent Framework team focused on observability. This role involves owning the architecture and setting the technical direction for Elastic's agent layer to support the Streams model.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate scalable architecture for the agent layer and implement technologies to enhance system performance.
• Provide technical guidance to team members, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, collaborating with the product management team to prioritize features.
• Facilitate collaboration across teams, identify risks, and adjust project plans in response to changing priorities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a technical lead or principal engineer on agent or systems-level software projects.
• Deep knowledge of observability data collection, including metrics, logs, and traces.
• Solid background in Go programming.
• Experience in designing management and control planes for distributed software.
• Track record of leading large technical initiatives from design to delivery.
• Ability to produce design documentation and communicate effectively.
