Tech Lead, Agent Framework - Observability @Elastic

Overview

Elastic is looking for a Tech Lead for the Agent Framework team, responsible for owning the architecture and setting the technical direction for Elastic's agent layer, enhancing the Streams model.

Key Responsibilities

• Design a scalable architecture for the agent layer and evaluate technologies to enhance performance.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and collaborate with product management to prioritize features.
• Coordinate collaboration across teams, identify project risks, and adjust plans based on stakeholder feedback.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a technical lead or principal engineer in managing distributed deployments.
• Deep knowledge of observability data collection metrics, logs, and protocols.
• Solid background in Go programming language.
• Experience in designing management and control planes for distributed software.
• Ability to manage large, multi-team technical initiatives and adapt to varying business priorities.
• Strong written communication skills inducting design documentation.
