Overview

Twilio is looking for a Tech Lead/Sr. Principal Engineer (L6) to join their Emerging Technologies team. This remote position based in India focuses on developing innovative solutions and hands-on technical expertise in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement high-stakes prototypes and production-ready solutions.
• Drive technical direction and collaborate with cross-functional teams to experiment with AI and frontier technologies.
• Establish governance for code reviews and mentor peers to enhance overall code quality.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders and peers.
• Navigate ambiguity and adjust technical strategies based on user feedback and market dynamics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with front-end (React, Angular) and/or back-end (Node.js, Springboot) frameworks.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Mastery of advanced development tools and agentic coding operating models.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Exceptional ability to work independently in ambiguous situations.
• Effective communication and mentorship skills.
