Overview
The Technology Disaster Recovery Manager at Jamf is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's business continuity management program. This role ensures disaster resilience through orchestrated recovery execution, maintaining technology stack runbooks, and coordinating cross-technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development of disaster recovery operations and runbooks in partnership with Product Development & Delivery.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to PD&D leaders, elevating disaster recovery operations to a strategic priority.
- Partner with PD&D to engineer and operate disaster recovery solutions across multi-cloud environments (AWS and Azure).
- Manage an annual DR roadmap and exercise calendar, including test execution and reporting.
- Plan and lead functional DR exercises, ensuring improvements are integrated into recovery documentation.
- Coordinate DR operations during activations, ensuring communication to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain the internal business continuity website and provide updates to DR stakeholders.
- Ensure architectural alignment of DR strategies with organizational objectives.
- Monitor global threats and risks, alerting appropriate stakeholders.
- Provide on-call support for global incidents or crises impacting the company.
- Manage the global emergency notification system for crisis alerts.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Working knowledge of operating systems, networking, cloud technology, and security tools.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance is preferred.
- Familiarity with chaos engineering and AI-assisted recovery validation is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Education: 4-year / bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Relevant certifications in business continuity or disaster recovery disciplines are preferred.
