Video Strategist @Figma

Overview

Figma is seeking a Video Strategist to define and build the video function that aligns with the brand's ambitions. This role involves creating a robust video strategy, developing video franchises, and managing a team to produce high-quality content that engages the audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the strategy for video across various brand moments, including social, editorial, community, and events.
• Create and manage a portfolio of recurring video programs to grow the audience.
• Decide on production methods, manage budgets, and build vendor relationships.
• Set quality standards for all video content produced under the Figma brand.
• Partner with the Brand Marketing Technologist to measure success and iterate on video content.
• Lead and develop the video team, ensuring alignment with overall strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years in video, brand storytelling, editorial, content strategy, or production leadership.
• Experience creating and managing successful video franchises that grow an audience.
• Proven ability to oversee production from concept through completion, managing budgets and vendor relationships.
• Leadership experience, including hiring and mentoring producers and editors.
• Strong understanding of various video formats and their specific uses.
• Ability to uphold creative standards for work produced by others.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders.
