    About the Role

    Key Responsibilities

    Safeguarding Leadership

    The role involves leading and embedding safeguarding practices across all programs and events.

    • Conducting safeguarding risk assessments for global events and initiatives
    • Designing and implementing context-specific safety protocols
    • Ensuring trauma-informed and dignity-centered practices are integrated from the outset
    • Managing crisis response and escalation processes
    • Supporting consent practices and ethical storytelling

    The manager will also work closely with participants to ensure they feel safe, respected, and empowered in all engagement spaces.

    Training and Capacity Building

    The successful candidate will:

    • Design and deliver safeguarding and trauma-informed training programs
    • Develop practical toolkits and guidance for staff and partners
    • Stay updated on global safeguarding best practices and trends

    Cross-Organizational Collaboration

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    Required Qualifications

    • Degree in psychology, social work, public health, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in safeguarding, trauma support, or advocacy
    • Experience working with individuals with lived experience of violence
    • Strong understanding of ethical storytelling and consent practices
    • Fluency in English

    Preferred Skills

    • Additional language skills (Spanish and/or French)
    • Experience in global, cross-cultural environments
    • Strong crisis management and decision-making skills
