Account Executive, Strategic (NY) @Docker

Overview

The Account Executive, Strategic is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key strategic accounts at Docker, a globally distributed, remote-first team building developer tools used by millions. This role focuses on understanding client needs, developing strategic plans, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with strategic clients.
• Strategic Business Planning: Develop an understanding of client needs and implement strategic plans to drive growth.
• Sales Targets: Achieve sales quotas by identifying and closing business opportunities.
• Market Analysis: Conduct research to inform strategic planning and identify new business opportunities.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach to market.
• Reporting and Forecasting: Provide forecasts and track account metrics, monitoring sales performance against goals.
• Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms for clients and the company.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience selling to large, complex F100 businesses.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience communicating and influencing at all organizational levels.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with sales methodologies such as Command of the Message and MEDDPICC.
