Overview
This role manages the Western territory covering Pacific, Mountain, and some Central time zones. Candidates must reside within these time zones to best support customers and the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships with key decision makers at the school district level and sell Newsela’s suite of products.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of a sale within the territory, developing business plans and tailoring sales strategies.
- Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to drive growth and meet revenue targets.
- Conduct in-person meetings with school and district leaders to present solutions and secure agreements.
- Independently manage priorities and make recommendations that impact strategy and results.
- Travel approximately 15% of the time for customer meetings.
Requirements
- 2+ years of full-cycle K-12 EdTech sales experience with a record of exceeding sales quotas.
- Prior teaching or instructional coaching experience in ELA or Social Studies is preferred.
- Proven experience as a strategic territory manager with an ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong organization skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using AI tools to drive efficiency and productivity.
- Legally authorized to work in the US.
