Account Manager, Local Marketplace @Axios

Overview

Axios is a media company dedicated to providing trustworthy news content in an audience-first format. They are hiring an Account Manager for their Local Client Success team to manage and grow Axios Local Marketplace, designed to help local businesses reach Axios's engaged audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor incoming submissions for accuracy and compliance with Axios standards.
• Review, edit, and post listings on the Marketplace boards and in the Charlotte newsletter.
• Ensure timely communication regarding updates and post-campaign performance reporting to maintain client experience.
• Promote the semi-service model to enhance awareness, adoption, and engagement.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Sales, Editorial) to improve processes and enhance client and reader experience.
• Maintain internal tracking documents for listings, promotions, and communications.
• Analyze performance trends and provide data-driven recommendations for optimizations.

Requirements

• Experience in community management or social programs.
• Business development or account management experience.
• Experience in digital marketing, social execution, and copywriting.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for building new processes.
• Customer-centric mindset and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 1-2 years of client success, account management, or marketing experience (media or digital advertising preferred).
