Analyst II, Credit @Affirm

Overview

Affirm is a remote-first company reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, offering consumers flexibility to buy now and pay later without hidden fees or compounding interest. The Analyst II, Credit role involves assessing financial and non-financial risks related to merchants.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess brand, compliance, fraud, and financial risk to determine credit exposure risk on new and existing merchants.
• Use business credit reports, financial documents, and investigative research tools to conduct risk assessments.
• Investigate new sources of third-party data to assess merchant financial risk.
• Conduct ongoing monitoring of credit, fraud, and chargeback trends.
• Provide guidance towards automation and improvement of merchant risk evaluation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in assessing merchant risk (e.g., Merchant/Seller Risk Management, Fraud, Collections, Merchant Underwriting).
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners, particularly Sales and Business Development teams.
• Experience reviewing financial documents and business credit reports.
• Ownership mentality with a sense of accountability, urgency, and execution.
