Applied AI/ML Engineer @Oddball

Overview

Oddball is seeking an Applied AI / Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions that address real-world challenges. The role involves applying modern ML and GenAI techniques within production systems, closely collaborating with engineers, designers, and product stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and AI features into production systems.
• Apply supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning techniques to various data types.
• Build and evaluate models for classification, ranking, prediction, NLP, or anomaly detection.
• Develop and integrate GenAI solutions.
• Translate business and user needs into ML problem statements and metrics.
• Implement data pipelines and feature engineering workflows for model training and inference.
• Evaluate model performance and reliability; iterate based on results.
• Collaborate with software engineers for model integration into APIs and services.
• Contribute to model serving architecture decisions.
• Document approaches and tradeoffs for maintainability and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in machine learning concepts.
• Experience with ML models in real-world applications.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Experience with large language models and prompt-driven systems.
• Familiarity with data processing tools (e.g., Pandas, SQL, Spark).
• Understanding of software engineering best practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
