The role of Carrier Deal Desk Manager at Twilio supports carrier supplier negotiations and wholesale trading transactions, requiring leadership in financial assessment and deal structuring.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial diligence for complex and high-value carrier agreements across AMER, evaluating pricing, margin, and financial exposure.
- Build and review deal models to recommend negotiation strategies based on performance scenarios.
- Partner with various stakeholders to resolve financial deal decisions and document trade-offs.
- Establish financial guardrails, approval standards, and best practices across regions.
- Track commitments and deal assumptions post-signature to improve future decisions.
- Identify recurring deal themes and translate them into policy and process improvements.
- Coach analysts on financial modeling and recommendations, collaborating with leadership to refine operations.
Requirements
- 8+ years in commercial finance or related analytical roles with complex agreements.
- Strong financial modeling and supplier economics evaluation skills.
- Experience leading financial strategies for vendor negotiations.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate trade-offs.
- Knowledge of Salesforce or similar systems; Oracle experience preferred.
- Preferred experience in telecommunications and language skills in Spanish or Portuguese.
