Overview

Lyft is seeking an experienced attorney with at least 5 years of litigation experience to join their Legal Team. The role involves overseeing litigation and providing legal guidance across various departments in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage legal matters, focusing on personal injury cases.
• Collaborate with Legal Team members to develop and implement litigation strategies aligned with Lyft’s business objectives.
• Handle all aspects of litigation including discovery, motion practice, witness preparation, and trial strategies.
• Analyze litigation matters and formulate resolution strategies.
• Oversee outside counsel management including staffing and budgets.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to management and cross-functional teams.
• Communicate effectively with insurance carriers and third parties.

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal practice experience at a law firm or in-house.
• J.D. from a top-tier law school.
• Active membership in a state bar in good standing.
• Prior in-house experience and experience with technology clients is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with a positive attitude.
• Familiarity with the transportation and ridesharing industries is beneficial.

Location

This role is fully remote but candidates must be based in the Los Angeles metro area.
