Design Engineer @WorkOS

Overview

WorkOS is seeking a Design Engineer who bridges design and code to help prototype, build, and refine user experiences across various products. This role involves collaborating closely with the Product Design team to enhance WorkOS's design system and drive high-quality production outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Build production-quality components and interactions across WorkOS products.
• Prototype concepts, create new products, and experiment with new interaction patterns.
• Raise the quality of WorkOS's design system by enhancing performance, accessibility, and interaction behavior.
• Collaborate with product teams to test ideas directly with customers.
• Share work in progress early and involve others to reach optimal solutions faster.
• Contribute to the company's building process through design system contributions.

Requirements

• Strong eye for design details and a background in delivering polished products.
• Ability to articulate design decisions and consider their implications on the overall product.
• Experience in managing real-world complexities including edge cases and accessibility.
• Proficient in both code and design tools like Figma, with a willingness to explore new workflows.
• AI-first mindset with a proven track record of producing high-quality outputs.
• Ability to identify and address design gaps proactively.
• Experience in fast-paced environments and strong teamwork skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with TypeScript, React, and Radix.
• Bonus: Experience in developer tools, enterprise software, or similar technical products.
