Overview

The role of Developer, Web Extension at 1Password involves contributing to the development and maintenance of a user-friendly password manager experience. This remote position welcomes candidates from the United States and Canada.

Key Responsibilities

• Code, test, debug, deliver, and maintain production software systems for new and existing product features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders throughout the development cycle to ensure smooth releases.
• Communicate technical requirements to stakeholders and solve technical problems effectively.
• Mentor junior team members by providing guidance and engaging in pair programming sessions.
• Participate in planning by identifying tasks, estimating, and planning work.
• Write comprehensive tests during various stages of the development cycle.
• Review code to maintain high quality and support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Generate and review documentation on code processes to ensure scalability.
• Stay informed about the latest industry trends and best practices in development.
• Be available for on-call rotational work to support and resolve emergencies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software development, with proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Experience in software development best practices and coding standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective solution proposals.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical partners.
• Passion for testing methodologies and debugging techniques to ensure high-quality code.
