Forward Deployed Strategist @Cursor

Overview

The role of a Forward Deployed Strategist involves owning strategic customer engagements from the initial workshop to delivery. This position is aimed at individuals with a blend of technical credibility in agentic coding and LLMs, along with the executive presence needed to build trust within an organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with customer executive sponsors to scope FDE projects by translating business problems into time-boxed deliverables with clear ROI.
• Lead technical discovery and architecture reviews to validate engagement feasibility.
• Work alongside the FDE on the technical build, overseeing configurations, workflows, and integrations.
• Run hands-on training sessions and coach the customer's team for technical enablement and adoption.
• Monitor technical feasibility, adjusting scope as necessary during delivery.
• Identify expansion opportunities and escalate issues to Product and Engineering teams.
• Establish and maintain executive relationships and communicate effectively between business outcomes and technical implementation.

Requirements

• 6+ years in Solutions Architecture, Deployment Strategy, technical consulting, or as an Engagement Manager.
• Strong understanding of agentic coding and LLMs.
• Hands-on experience with Cursor workflows, integrations, and platform configurations.
• Ability to identify high-leverage interventions in enterprise engagements and deliver value quickly.
• Executive presence to manage C-suite relationships and technical credibility with engineering leads.
• Domain knowledge in FSI, insurance, telecom, high-tech, healthcare/life sciences, or semiconductor is a strong plus.
