Overview
Axios is a media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. They are hiring a Director, Client Partnerships to join their growing advocacy and associations advertising team, reporting to the Head of Advocacy and Public Affairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with advocacy groups, non-profits, policy organizations, and related stakeholders.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Axios, representing the company at events and within the advocacy community.
- Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities to drive revenue and expand Axios's presence in the advocacy space.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of partnership initiatives.
Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience in sales, specifically in the digital media/news industry.
- Established relationships with key agencies and advocacy organizations.
- Understanding of the advocacy landscape in Washington, D.C., with established relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience in an outbound sales environment.
- Understanding of digital media, online marketing technology, and Axios’ competitive landscape.
- Exceptionally collaborative, both within your own team and cross-functionally.
- Willingness to travel and attend industry events and networking engagements.
- Growth mindset with hunger to constantly learn and improve your craft.
- Comfortable with a mix of outbound sales strategy and nurturing of existing client relationships.
- Track record of successfully hitting targets and quotas.

Salary
The starting salary for this role is in the range of $95,000 - $105,000, dependent on location, work experience, and skills.
