Overview

The role involves leading a multi-team engineering organization responsible for consumer-facing products and their underlying platforms at LendingTree. The Director of Engineering will shape the engineering strategy, account for technical health, and oversee the delivery of products that enhance the consumer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering organization, guiding architecture and delivery across consumer-facing products and platforms.
• Set technical direction and engineering standards, aiming for operational excellence and high quality.
• Define metrics to measure success, including uptime and conversion rates.
• Integrate AI into customer experiences, ensuring quality and effective adoption.
• Enhance the logged-in customer experience and manage product recommendations.
• Hire and develop engineering managers and senior engineers.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Science on consumer insights and technical strategies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ in engineering leadership.
• Experience with consumer-facing products and technical health oversight.
• Strong architectural judgment across various systems.
• Experience integrating AI and ML capabilities into production products.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Location

This is a hybrid role requiring attendance in the Charlotte, NC office Tuesday through Thursday, with remote work available on Monday and Friday. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
