Overview

Malteser International is currently offering domestic assistant jobs for motivated applicants in Katsina State, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of office/residential spaces.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Clean windows, furniture, and office equipment.
• Handle laundry duties, including washing and ironing.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including washing utensils and surfaces.
• Ensure proper disposal and management of waste.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and household items.
• Support meetings/events by arranging spaces and tidying afterward.
• Report maintenance and repair needs to the supervisor.
• Comply with health, safety, hygiene, and confidentiality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of ND, technical certificate, or relevant qualification.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Strong attention to detail and knowledge of sanitation practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible.
• Indigenes of Katsina State will be prioritized.
