Overview
The role of EMEA Sales Account Executive involves building pipelines, engaging enterprise stakeholders, and closing complex deals with large and high-growth organizations across various sectors including financial services, logistics, gaming, e-commerce, and SaaS. Candidates must reside in the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Segment territory to optimize pipeline generation efforts.
- Drive market awareness and generate qualified leads in lighthouse accounts.
- Follow up promptly and effectively on marketing leads.
- Forecast and track customer activity in internal systems, updating management in a timely fashion.
- Learn what matters to key personas involved in selecting a new database.
- Obtain buy-in on the technical and business value proposition from client stakeholders.
- Progress sales cycles by aligning with client needs and conveying compelling narratives.
- Close deals to meet quota objectives and help document customer success stories.
- Share experiences and learnings to help mature sales plays and remove adoption hurdles.
- Manage individual expense budgets.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a quota-carrying enterprise sales position at a database company, established open-source technology company, or a mature public cloud service provider.
- Willingness to prospect, engage clients and help build a sales playbook.
- Strong customer-friendly sales skills with a track record of building and winning large opportunities.
- Experience and capability to thrive in a startup environment, focusing on streamlining and simplifying workstreams and processes.
- Experience in the Startup/Scale Up phase of a Technology Vendor is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science is strongly preferred but not disqualifying.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
- Fluency in Dutch is preferred, but not required.
