Overview

Render is building a modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack applications. The Engineering Manager for Object Storage will lead a team focused on building a scalable object storage product, partnering with product managers and designers to cater to user needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of object storage engineers, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
• Drive execution on key product initiatives from ideation through launch.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Infra teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Engage in technical discussions, guiding system design and architectural decisions.
• Cultivate a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Break down complex problems into incremental milestones.
• Ensure understanding of developer experience and customer impact of features.
• Collaborate with product management, customers, and internal teams to align priorities.

Requirements

• 8+ years as an Engineer with experience in shipping impactful products.
• 2+ years of experience managing and developing engineers.
• Strong technical background with expertise in system design and architecture.
• Product-oriented mindset with experience in translating goals into engineering roadmaps.
• Ability to balance urgency with quality execution.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A strong sense of ownership for team outcomes and system health.
