Finance Associate @Brex

Overview

Brex is seeking a Finance Associate to join its Strategic Finance team. The role involves partnering with leadership to maximize ROI from investments and managing frameworks for evaluating investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and own the frameworks for evaluating investment decisions across the business.
• Partner with business leaders on capital allocation, pricing tradeoffs, and opportunity cost.
• Develop unit economics and ROI measurement standards for new product launches and pricing changes.
• Run post-investment measurement and compare realized returns to what was underwritten.
• Quantify the commercial impact of product decisions on revenue and customer lifetime value.
• Translate operating inputs into financial impacts.
• Build shared definitions and a single source of truth across departments.
• Provide ad hoc analytical support on finance questions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, or Investment Banking.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with experience in building financial models.
• Familiarity with data management tools (e.g., SQL, Snowflake) is a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical, and collaborative skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize effectively.
• Intellectual curiosity and a proactive work style.
