Finance Associate @Brex

Overview

Brex is an intelligent finance platform that enables companies to spend smarter by combining corporate cards and banking with spend management, bill pay, and travel software. The Finance Associate role is part of the strategic Finance team, which leads planning, forecasting, and capital allocation.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and own frameworks for evaluating investment decisions in R&D, GTM, headcount, and pricing.
• Partner with business leaders on capital allocation and assess opportunity costs.
• Develop unit economics and ROI measurement standards applied to new product launches and pricing changes.
• Run post-investment measurement to compare realized return against expectations.
• Quantify the commercial impact of product decisions on revenue and customer lifetime value.
• Translate operating inputs into financial impacts that business partners can plan against.
• Ensure a single source of truth across Finance and other departments.
• Provide ad hoc analytical support on go-to-market efficiency questions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, or Investment Banking.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience building financial models.
• Strong communication, analytical skills, and a collaborative work style.
• Experience with SQL or BI tools (e.g., Snowflake, Looker) is a plus.

Benefits

Compensation for this role includes a salary range of $104,000-$130,000 CAD, along with potential equity and other compensation forms.

Location

This is a hybrid role based in Vancouver, Canada, requiring a minimum of three coordinated office days per week.
