Overview

The role as a Financial Model Risk Management Lead involves joining the Model Risk Management team to oversee a robust model risk management framework for quantitative models related to finance and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform independent challenges of financial and analytics quantitative models through rigorous validation and ongoing monitoring.
• Lead end-to-end validation engagements on high-complexity, high-criticality models.
• Identify model weaknesses, articulate findings clearly to various stakeholders.
• Collaborate with model owners across Finance, Quantitative Research, and Growth Analytics to strengthen model governance.
• Implement and maintain the company's MRM framework.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of audit, regulatory, and examiner requests.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of professional experience in model development, validation, quantitative finance, or data analytics.
• Deep knowledge of corporate finance, treasury, and/or statistical forecasting.
• Experience in credit underwriting or credit risk management is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python), SQL, and working with large datasets.
• Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques in finance and analytics applications.
• Degree in a quantitative field such as Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or related areas.
• Detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and skilled in critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence stakeholders and present findings effectively.
