Key Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of senior data and analytics engineers responsible for Mercury's core data infrastructure.
• Define and execute Mercury's long-term data platform strategy, shaping the architecture and tooling that support analytics and AI.
• Ensure the platform facilitates easy discovery and use of data, investing in metadata and developer tooling.
• Establish best practices for data platform reliability, observability, quality, governance, privacy, security, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data Science, Security, and Infrastructure leaders to enhance product development and decision-making.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience architecting modern data platforms at scale.
• Ability to evolve data architecture during rapid growth periods while managing product needs.
• Deep expertise in modern data infrastructure including data modeling, orchestration, and governance.
• Experience with compliance and privacy regarding regulated financial institutions.
