Overview

Brex is the intelligent finance platform that enables companies to spend smarter and move faster in over 200 markets. The company is seeking a Manager for Accounting Servicing in Operations to lead a team managing various account servicing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the account servicing portfolio post-launch, including money application, billing term changes, and auto-pay management.
• Oversee statement adjustments, refunds, and offline collections while maintaining adjustment accuracy.
• Handle billing changes, such as due date modifications and payment extensions.
• Ensure proper vendor onboarding as Brex establishes itself as a payee in customer portals.
• Manage credit reporting and disputes management to meet accuracy and timeliness standards.
• Supervise account closures and manage points debits and rewards grants.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on automation and migration efforts to reduce manual workloads.
• Develop and coach a team of servicing specialists, ensuring knowledge redundancy.
• Set and maintain SLAs and operational reporting measures.
• Write and maintain SOPs and controls to ensure auditability and accuracy of financial adjustments.

Requirements

• 5+ years in financial services or fintech operations, with at least 2 years of direct management experience.
• Hands-on experience managing servicing, billing, payment, or credit operations, emphasizing error management.
• Proven track record of process improvement in high-touch workflows.
• Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering for requirement setting and testing.
• Data fluency and ability to create reports using SQL, spreadsheets, or BI tools.
• Strong judgment and communication skills, particularly in writing SOPs and escalation summaries.
• A clear perspective on the application of AI in operational processes.

Benefits

The expected salary range is $119,328 - $149,160, with compensation depending on various factors such as location and experience.

Location

This role is based in San Francisco, California, in a hybrid environment, requiring at least three days in the office per week.
