Overview
The role of Fraud Operations Manager at Affirm involves overseeing operations across multiple Fraud Operations teams, focusing on disputes and compliance work. The position emphasizes cultivating a high-performance culture while ensuring teams meet business objectives related to productivity and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a group of people leaders and Individual Contributors (ICs).
- Drive team performance using metrics such as productivity, quality, customer outcomes, and service levels.
- Define and champion operational strategy and roadmap for assigned teams.
- Identify and implement transformational changes to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Translate business goals into team-level objectives and ensure operational alignment.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex stakeholder issues and resolve risk events.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in disputes and fraud risk prevention within the FinTech/tech industry.
- 5+ years in fraud management or related roles, with experience leading managers or senior ICs.
- Proven success in delivering large-scale operational change.
- Strong strategic planning and risk management skills.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
- Experience in leading teams through change and comfort with ambiguity.
- Familiarity with AI initiatives and data-driven methodologies.
- Knowledge of scripting and querying languages like Python or SQL is a plus.
