Overview

The Manager, Security Engineering & Operations at Clari + Salesloft will be a foundational leader within the information security team, responsible for building and leading a group of Security Analysts and Security Engineers. This role involves developing a defensive strategy and mentoring a hybrid team while overseeing security operations and engineering functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a hybrid team of analysts and engineers, providing guidance and performance coaching.
• Oversee the vulnerability management lifecycle, ensuring efficient scanning, triaging, and remediation.
• Ensure Security Engineering builds effective preventive/detective controls for Security Operations.
• Drive automation and AI initiatives within security processes.
• Serve as the escalation point for security incidents and manage the security infrastructure design.
• Collaborate with Engineering to integrate security into the Salesloft architecture.
• Translate technical projects and operational risks into business context for executive leadership.
• Assist with security operations workload as needed.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Security Engineering or Operations.
• Professional knowledge of AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, and Postgres.
• Experience building or maturing vulnerability management programs.
• Innovative mindset for driving AI-centric improvements in security.
• Ability to analyze security metrics for continuous improvement.
• Proven low-friction leadership skills.
• Experience in detection engineering and identifying Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).
• Familiarity with SaaS environments and evidence controls for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
• Project management experience with trackable methodologies.
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, GCIH/GCIA.
• Ability to lead threat modeling and risk reviews.
