Overview

The National Geographic Society is hiring a Director, Strategic Operations & Analysis (Remote) to collaborate across the organization to define, design, and optimize business and operational strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with business unit leaders to develop operational strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Act as a liaison between departments to ensure operational coherence, build efficiencies, and facilitate cross-functional communication.
Advise senior leadership using insights and analyses based on operational, financial, and programmatic data.
Contribute to strategic decision-making by offering operational perspectives and innovative solutions.
Develop, design, and optimize operational processes and service delivery models.
Create comprehensive service design frameworks and workflows.
Generate clear documentation outlining operational strategies and frameworks for leadership review.
Document and communicate clear business and operational requirements.
Partner with technology and business teams to ensure alignment of business value with technical capabilities.
Facilitate change management initiatives for the adoption of new strategies and processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of professional experience in strategic operations, business analysis, or related fields.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Understanding of data analytics, metrics, and data governance.
Familiarity with requirements elicitation techniques and UML diagramming.
Ability to influence stakeholders and certifications in relevant fields preferred.

Benefits
